In parts of Southern California, horned lizards used to be everywhere, now they're disappearing. Great oak trees, crucial to Tribal culture, are dying under the onslaught of voracious beetle species that thrive on the warmer climate. Sharing this information is critical to the Tribes, California and the nation as we work to adapt to an uncertain future. On November 30th, 2016 EFCWest, working with the Native American Environmental Protection Coalition, to help facilitate input from several California Tribes for the National Climate Assessment. Tribes shared the information above and other urgent concerns for their communities and California.
